Rules

4th-6th Grade Rules (Boys & Girls)

4^th Grade (Boys & Girls)

1. Youth size basketball (28.5″  circumference)
2. 2 time outs per half. [Time outs do not carry over.]
3. Shooter may step into the lane on a free throw, but they must start behind the line.
4. Shoot bonus on 7th team foul
5. 3-point baskets allowed
6. 4 seconds in the lane (on offense)
7. No press  allowed.
8. If up by 10, team may not press
9. No zone defenses, person-to-person defense only,
10. Head to rim
11. No clear outs
12. Technical foul—automatic 2 points & possession of the ball

5^th Grade (Boys & Girls)

1. Youth size basketball (28.5″  circumference)
2. 2 time outs per half
3. Shoot bonus on 7^th team foul
4. 3-point baskets allowed
5. 4 seconds in the lane (on offense)
6. Full court press allowed only during the last 2 minutes of the half
7. If up by 10, team may not press
8. No zone defenses, person-to-person defense only.
9. No clear outs
10. Team will get two warnings per half for illegal zones or clear outs. On the second warning the team will be granted one point and the ball out of bounds at half court.
11. Technical foul—automatic 2 points & possession of the ball

6^th Grade (Boys & Girls)

1. Youth size basketball (28.5″  circumference)
2. 2 time outs per half
3. Shoot bonus on 7th team foul
4. 3-point baskets allowed
5. 3 seconds in the lane (on offense)
6. Full court press allowed
7. If up by 10, team may not press
8. Zone defenses allowed
9. Technical foul—automatic 2 points & possession of the ball
